"It's going to be the hardest thing you ever do, and the most rewarding." πŸ’™

Ashley and Jon remind us that fostering isn't about being a superhero. It's about stepping in to help a child and their family. Families need normal people, not perfection.

"Fostering is about the kids going home." πŸ’™

The Lyttles share a common misunderstanding about foster care, that loving a child means holding on at all costs. In reality, fostering means loving deeply while supporting a child's journey back home when it's safe.

Adults can carry the weight of goodbye so children don't have to.

"Being ready is not a feeling. It's a decision." πŸ’™

When the Melvins got the call to foster a teenager, they didn't wait to feel ready. They made a decision to show up. What began as an open guest room became a space filled with purpose, connection, and family.

Teens don't need perfection. They need steady adults who listen, encourage, and are willing to walk alongside them.
