I hope you can join us for the September John Redmond Reservoir Watershed Stakeholder Leadership Team Meeting. We’ll share updates on potential projects, explore partnership opportunities, and talk together about ways to support watershed health. The meeting is open to the public, and we welcome discussion and input from everyone who attends. Snacks and drinks will be provided, and no RSVP is required.

Registration is open for the Sustainable Ranchers Tour on September 29th at Clover Cliff Ranch Bed and Breakfast in Elmdale, Kansas!

You'll hear directly from ranchers putting regenerative practices to work, including a stop at Mushrush Ranches, a seventh-generation Flint Hills operation. The day covers grazing management, ranch technology, animal health and genetics, and a supply chain sustainability panel, with lunch included.

Farmers and landowners are invited to participate in SHAPE: Soil Health Assessment Protocol and Evaluation, a national effort focused on better understanding and improving soil health across the U.S.

By participating, you’ll receive:

🌾 A personalized soil health report for your fields — a value of approximately $1,200 per field
🌾 A copy of Probing Our Country’s Soil Health
🌾 Valuable insight into your soil and management practices

What’s required? Fields must be 10 acres or more, along with a one-hour management survey and access to your fields for soil sampling.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about the health of your soil while contributing to a nationwide soil health project! 🌎

From exploring our planet with an Earth balloon in Olpe & Neosho Rapids Elementary 🌎, to presenting a scholarship to Cade Whitmore , and helping at State Envirothon—it’s been a busy week of learning. Proud of all the hard work and dedication that made these moments possible!
