Great Plains Center for Gifted Studies

Great Plains Center for Gifted Studies Here at the GPC-GS, we aim to provide a significant source of support to gifted students, their families, and the educators who work with them.

The Great Plains Center for Gifted Studies was established in 1986 as a place to house Emporia State University's print resources for gifted education. In the years since, under the direction of Dr. Connie Phelps, the center's holdings have been greatly expanded, and its role in the community and region is growing in importance. Our mission is to provide quality professional development opportunit

ies for P-12 teachers, administrators and counselors and to offer programs and activities to challenge and enrich the gifted students in this area
