VHC recently received an expansive donation of Fire & Emergency Services literature from the family of John Carnegis. John who was a staple of the Frederick and National Fire services passed away in 2024. He was known to many throughout our community and across the United States.

John was always passionate about teaching the next generation of firefighters and his impact will continue to be felt by our membership whenever they stop our library.

Special thanks to the Carnegis family for continuing to support the advancement of fire service education here in Emmitsburg.
