We are excited to have a new fitness class added to our Fall schedule! Drums Alive with Kelli on Tuesdays at 4:30p.m. uses drumming, music and movement to make fitness fun. 🥁
Chair Yoga with Christina also continues on Mondays at 1:00p.m. Chair Yoga is a gentle and inclusive yoga where poses are done seated or with the help of a chair. 🧘‍♀️

The Fall 2026 Activity Guide is now available on our website! Take some time to look at our exciting upcoming programs! We have a variety of special events, day trips, arts & crafts, educational talks, fitness, and opportunities to stay healthy. Registration for programs with a fee starts on Friday, Sept 11 @ 9:00 a.m. Registration for FREE programs is open now by emailing [email protected].

The 50+ Community Centers offer a variety of fitness classes such as strength training, yoga, Zumba, and line dance.In addition, social, recreational, and educational programs are scheduled. These include discussion groups, book clubs, film club, drawing class, and health and nutrition programs.

It's almost Open Enrollment season! Stop in to fill out your intake packet to get an appointment with a SHIP counselor. You will be contacted to schedule an appointment starting October 1st.

Do you have a Medicare Part D plan? Plans change every year—drug lists, premiums, deductibles, and co‑pays can shift.

Pick up your open enrollment packet starting Sept 1 to secure your place in line; scheduling begins Oct 1. Open Enrollment runs Oct 15–Dec 7.

Stop by any 50+ Community Center to pick up your open enrollment packet or download your packet at www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/SHIP or call 301‑600‑1234 to work with a SHIP counselor. We offer one‑on‑one in‑person, phone, and virtual appointments.
