HELP US BUILD AN ARMY OF SCARECROWS!

We’re joining the Emmetsburg Scarecrow Contest, and we want to fill the front lawn of the Extension Office with as many crazy, creative, and fun scarecrows as possible!

4-Hers, families, clubs, and friends are ALL invited!

Come anytime between 3:30–6:00 PM on September 29th and help us create our 4-H Scarecrow Army!

Bring your friends, bring your creativity, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, bring supplies!

We will have some supplies available, but we are going to need LOTS more to build our army. Next week, we’ll send out a list of items we are looking for, so WATCH FOR THAT!

Think old clothes, hats, accessories, decorations, and anything else that could help give a scarecrow some personality!

GET CREATIVE WITH COASTER TILE DECORATING!

Join us October 14th at 4:00 PM for a fun and creative coaster decorating workshop!

For just $10, you’ll learn how to use the napkin transfer technique with Mod Podge to create your own decorative tile coasters AND a coaster holder to take home.

We’ll have LOTS of napkin designs to choose from, and they definitely aren’t all Halloween! Want to use something specific? Bring your own decorative napkins and make them completely your style!

A light snack will also be included.

PUMPKINS, PUMPKINS, PUMPKINS!

Get ready for an afternoon full of fall fun on October 7th!

We’ll be doing TWO pumpkin activities:

🎃 Make a wooden pumpkin decoration that you get to take home!

🎃 Carve a real pumpkin to help decorate the Extension Office steps for fall! Your carved pumpkin will stay at the office so we can create our own 4-H pumpkin display.

We’ll provide the pumpkins and supplies, plus a snack to keep you fueled while you get creative!

October 7th | 4:00–5:00 PM | $15

Palo Alto 4-Hers at the State Fair!

We had livestock exhibitors, a Communication Event exhibitor, many Static projects, and ones enjoying fair thanking about what all they want to bring in the years to come!

We loved getting to watch our youth exhibit their projects and seeing all the hard work they put into them!

(Sorry I don’t have any pictures of the pigs yet! If you know those rings, you know they can get pretty crowded!)

So proud of all of our Palo Alto County 4-Hers and the hard work they put into their projects! Already can’t way to see what 2026 will bring.
