Foster parents like Rick and Jenny play an essential role in helping children feel safe, supported, and cared for while maintaining connections to their community.

All month long, we’re celebrating the incredible individuals who open their hearts and homes to children in need, and inviting our community to learn more about the impact of foster care.

Introducing Foster Care Fridays: a weekly spotlight series where we’ll highlight amazing foster parents each Friday in May!

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month.

This month, we’re coming together as a community to raise awareness, support families, and help prevent child abuse before it starts. You’ll see blue pinwheels across the county, representing the happy, healthy childhoods all children deserve.

💙 How you can help:
• Wear blue on April 8 for Ohio Wears Blue Day
• Display a pinwheel at your home or place of work to show your support
• Encourage and support families in your community
• Speak up if you’re concerned about a child

Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can keep Lorain County’s children safe.
