Wise words from our Prevention Program Manager Erica about Black History Month!

02/05/2025

Meet Erica Lasion, Prevention Program Manager in Catholic Charities Lorain County!

Erica has been with Catholic Charities for 15 years but before that, she had worked in the school system in Lorain and other nonprofit organizations. She loves that her job allows her the platform to exercise her purpose by helping women and children thrive.

During Black History Month, she reminds people that learning about African American history is learning about American history.

"[Black History Month] is an opportunity for us as a nation to really reflect on things that have been accomplished over the years, not just by the African American, but by America, because the African American is an American" Erica said.

Stay tuned to learn more about Erica's story and what Black History Month means to her!
