This Public Educational Course is sponsored by the Lorain County Community Alliance (LCCA) and Lorain County Community College (LCCC). Instruction is open to the public and is for anyone interested in running for public office or to learn how the system works. Paul Adams, Lorain County Board of Elections Director, will give you step by step instructions on how to file for public office. Class will cover the requirements and restrictions of filing, petitions, campaign finance reporting and personal financial disclosure statements. There are no continuing education credits available for this course.

The passenger rail service, suspended in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina wrecked the Gulf Coast line, will return within the next 24 months pending negotiations with CSX. The news comes after a $33 million grant was awarded for it.
