🍂 Hello, Fall!

Cooler mornings, changing leaves, shorter days and that unmistakable crispness in the air—fall has officially arrived!

It's one of the most beautiful times of year in our corner of Nevada and Utah, and we're ready for everything that comes with it: golden aspens, harvest season, cozy evenings and maybe even that first dusting of snow on the mountains. 🍁🏔️ Photo credit: S Conrad; Ruralite 2025 Oct cover contest winner.

Emergencies are less stressful when everyone knows what to do. Talk with your family about:

• Where you'll meet if you're separated.
• How you'll communicate if cell service is limited.
• Who will check on older relatives or neighbors.
• What you'll do if an outage lasts several hours or longer.

At Mt. Wheeler Power, we're committed to keeping the lights on. But when outages occur, our crews are ready to respond safely and restore power as quickly as they can.

Portable generators can provide peace of mind during an outage, but they must be used safely.
✔ Always operate generators outdoors, far away from doors, windows and vents.
✔ Never plug a generator directly into your home's electrical system.
✔ Follow the manufacturer's instructions and allow the generator to cool before refueling.
Using a generator correctly helps protect your family and your home and our linemen.
