Fire conditions are extreme right now. This wildfire happened due to a downed powerline in Eagles Nest Township. Thankfully the Eagles Nest Fire Dept has been trained as wildland firefighters and the homeowner has taken steps to reduce wildfire risk around their home. The situation could have been much worse. Even sparks from a small campfire, chimney or sauna can ignite a wildland fire. Please do not burn right now!
