🏀💙 BEYOND THE BADGE: COMMUNITY POLICING IN ACTION 💙🏀

The Elsa Police Department is proud to recognize Officer Israel Medrano III for going above and beyond for some of our community’s youngest residents!

While on patrol, Officer Medrano stopped to play basketball with a group of neighborhood children. After noticing their basketball was partially deflated and in poor condition, he used his own money to buy them a brand-new basketball and refreshments. 🏀🥤

The children’s parents later contacted the department to personally express their appreciation for his kindness and generosity.

This is community policing. This is service beyond the badge. 💙
