September 11, 2001 — Never Forget. 🇺🇸

Today, Elmore City EMS pauses to remember the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the extraordinary courage of the first responders who ran toward danger while others were running away.

We remember the 343 FDNY firefighters, NYPD officers, Port Authority police officers, EMTs, paramedics, and every other first responder who made the ultimate sacrifice. We also remember the countless responders who survived that day but later lost their lives to illnesses connected to their service at Ground Zero.

For those of us who serve in EMS today, September 11 is more than a date in history. It is a reminder of what it means to answer the call. To serve our communities with courage, compassion, and a willingness to help others on their worst day.

May we remember the lives that were taken, the families forever changed, and the heroes who gave everything so that others might live.

Elmore City EMS is proud to announce that we will have a dedicated stand-by truck at all Junior High and High School home football games.

Most of the time you will see both of our trucks there. One of those trucks will be the on duty 911 truck and will occasionally have to leave to respond to 911 calls. The other truck will be dedicated to the football game to provide medical coverage for the event.

We would like to thank the Elmore City Council and Elmore City-Pernell Public Schools for the continued support and for working together to ensure that appropriate medical care will always be available at the football games.

If you need a dedicated ambulance for a stand-by event, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us well before the event so we can discuss the options with you and ensure that we have a crew available to be there.

Back to School ❤️🚑

📚🎒 Happy First Day of School! 🎒📚

From all of us at Elmore City EMS, we want to wish our students, teachers, staff, and families a safe and successful school year!

As everyone gets back into the school routine, remember:

🚸 Slow down in school zones and watch for children crossing the road.
🚌 Stop for school buses when their lights are flashing.
📵 Put the phone down and stay focused while driving.
🚶‍♀️ Watch carefully for children walking or riding bikes.
❤️ Be patient—those extra few seconds could save a life.

And to our kids: learn lots, make good memories, be kind, and have a GREAT first day!
