Honored to represent Chemung County today in Albany for Older New Yorker’s Day 2026, and to celebrate many deserving individuals and organizations.

Congratulations to the Chemung County Office for the Aging and our OFA Director Beth Stranges on receiving the “Older New Yorkers Innovation Award” for the Bridging Generations Initiative.

We also proudly celebrate Chemung County residents Robert Nelson and Rita McCabe, recognized today as Chemung County Older Volunteer Award recipients for their outstanding service and dedication to our community.

Chemung County shines when it comes to aging services, and we appreciate the entire team that makes it happen.

A new online property tax system and its tutorial video were made available on Monday for residents of Chemung County, as stated in a release from the Chemung County Treasurer’s Office.
