At Cookie’s Group Daycare, we believe reading is one of the most important skills a child can learn. Books open the door to imagination, learning, and discovery! 🌈
Every day we encourage children to explore books, look at pictures, listen to stories, and talk about what they see. This helps build:
📖 Early literacy skills
🧠 Language and vocabulary
💭 Imagination and creativity
We also teach children how to respect and care for books by:
✔️ Turning pages gently
✔️ Keeping books clean and safe
✔️ Returning books to the library area when finished
Learning to respect books helps children understand that books are special tools for learning that can be shared with friends. When children care for books, they help keep our classroom library ready for everyone to enjoy.
