Over the last six weeks, two families and our school community have experienced tremendous loss with the deaths of two students. The district has been working with multiple support and partner organizations in recent weeks to support students, staff and families.

As a continuation of these services we would like to invite parents to attend a virtual meeting/forum on Wednesday, December 15th at 6:30 PM. Our community is grieving and this informational and support night is intended as an opportunity to hear from experts in this field regarding how parents can best support their children who are coping with grief and loss. Please see the flyer below for all the information, and share with anyone you think may benefit from attending.

Did you know that your family qualifies for the 2021 Advance Child Tax Credit payments, which could be to up to $1,800 per qualifying child?!?! These payments are made automatically to taxpayers who qualified on their 2020 tax returns.

Low income families who may not be required to file tax returns can still get this money! There is a tool that can not only help your families get these advance payments, but also help you get missed Economic Impact Payments (EIP). This could amount to over $14,000 for a family of 2 adults and 2 children who may be struggling to make ends meet.

Check out this link to the IRS page for how to get your Advance Child Tax Credit:
