This morning, members of the Jamison Road Volunteer Fire Company were honored to participate in the Town of Elma’s Memorial Day parade and ceremony as we came together to remember and honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in paying tribute to our fallen heroes.

Town of Elma Responding to Major Water Main Break – Town-Wide Water Service Disruption

The Town of Elma is currently responding to a major water main break that has resulted in a loss of water service throughout the town.

Town of Elma Water Department crews are actively on scene and working to locate, isolate, and repair the break as quickly and safely as possible. Additional support resources are being coordinated as needed to assist with restoration efforts.

Residents who still have water service at this time are asked to limit water usage to essential needs only in order to help stabilize the system while repairs are underway.
At this time, residents should expect continued service interruption until repairs are completed. We do not anticipate water service to be restored prior to tomorrow. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available and as timelines for restoration become clearer.

Town officials will provide operational updates, expected restoration timelines, and guidance for residents.

Ladder 6 has officially been placed on standby today to assist with the Artemis II Launch.

Our crew has been preparing for zero-gravity ladder operations and reviewing hydrant locations on the moon (limited availability). 🌕

If you see Ladder 6 positioned with the aerial pointed toward the sky, don’t worry—we’re just ready to respond.

We pause today to remember and pay tribute to Past Chief Michael Giambra of the Marilla Fire Company. His leadership and passion for the fire service reached far beyond his own department, as he guided, supported, and inspired so many throughout the fire service. His leadership and character leave behind a legacy that will not be forgotten. May he rest in peace.
