Thank you to our Mayor, Randy Thoren for putting up the library's sign next to our children's bench outside. The names listed on the plaque had memorials given to the library and we used the money to purchase the children's bench. It's a wonderful remembrance for the loved ones we've lost. Thank you to families, friends and neighbors who may have made a donation to the library in memory of one of the people listed on the plaque.

The Elma Library held a belated, indoor Easter Egg Hunt for the Elma Daycare on April 22. We had 15 children come hunt for eggs in the library, play games, do a craft, sing and did a round robbin chant of "Who Stole the Cookie From the Cookie Jar". We had a lot of fun!

Let's Try Again!-Saturday, January 31st, Paint by Number Program for ages 7 and Up. Come and Go from 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM. We have a variety of beginner paint kits for kids and adults. Free of Charge and you take the paint kits home with you after you are done.
If kids can't make it on Saturday they are welcome to come on an Off School day and ask to work on a kit then.

Elma Library just had Ruthann Zimmerman, her husband, Alvin and two of their boys join us for a very entertaining and enjoyable author visit. Ruthann read a couple of chapters from her book "The Heart of the Homestead", took questions, signed books and visited one-on-one with some of our audience. It was a great pleasure to have Ruthann and some of her family share her wonderful book. We look forward to having Ruthann back in 2027 when her cookbook goes on sale!

The Library is taking orders for pullover sweatshirts, pullover hoodie sweatshirts and zippered sweatshirts. Different designs to choose from with Elma Iowa logo on them. Also more colors to choose from. Contact the Elma Library for More Information.
Cost: pullover sweatshirt is $25, pullover hoodie is $35 and zipper hooded sweatshirt is $40.

The Elma Library is selling Elma Sweatshirts, Long Sleeve T's and 3/4 Raglan Sleeve Baseball T's. See the Sheet for more information and cost. Stop in the library to look at some samples of colors and sizes. Pay at the time of ordering. Call soon, the library will place an order in Mid-February!

Stuffed Animal Super Bowl Party Was A Lot of Fun!!! We ate, We made football related crafts, Read to our animals and put them to bed. After we all went home the animals decided to visit the library, explore and have some fun! So glad we had a nice group of kids to make our evening a fun one! Thanks to all our helpers! An extra special Thank You to the Brownstone Book Fund for giving the library 100 new, hardcover books! They are beautiful and the kids enjoyed looking through some and reading some!

The Community Complex now has a new bike rake and bench on the north side of the building. Thanks Denny's Construction for getting these projects done!
