In recognition of National Police Week, observed May 10–16, 2026, we take a moment to honor and recognize the dedicated men and women of the Elm Grove Police Department, as well as law enforcement officers across the nation, who serve their communities with professionalism, integrity, courage, and compassion each and every day.
This week also serves as an opportunity to remember and pay tribute to the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, and to honor the families, friends, and colleagues who continue to carry their legacy forward. This year the names of 363 law enforcement officers will be added to the Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Wall in Washington D.C.
Every day, our officers work to protect, serve, and build trust within our community. Whether responding to emergencies, engaging in proactive policing, conducting investigations, or simply connecting with residents, their dedication and commitment do not go unnoticed.
We are grateful not only for the service of our officers, but also for the continued support of our residents, businesses, and community partners. Your trust, cooperation, and encouragement play a vital role in helping us fulfill our mission.
Please join us during National Police Week in honoring the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers everywhere and in thanking those who continue to answer the call to serve.
The 38th Annual Candlelight Vigil will be on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 8:pm. It will be livestreamed on:
