Sunday May 17th 2026, Members of Toisnot Fire & Rescue Captain Randy Dawson, Captain Stevie Bryant, Captain Dennis Parker, along with Pat Dawson and Tammy Bryant, proudly attended and supported a wonderful community event hosted by Ollie Howard in Wilson.
Mr. Howard has continuously shown support for our Fire Department throughout the years, and we were honored to return that support by participating in his outstanding event for the community.
During the event, we brought Truck 75 and spent the day interacting with children and families from the community. We handed out Fire Department goodie bags, coloring books, crayons, fire hats for boys and girls, popsicles, stickers, pencils, and much more. The children had an amazing time while also learning important fire safety information, including what to do and where to go if a fire were to break out at home.
One of the highlights of the day was seeing the excitement on the childrenās faces as they explored Truck 75. Many of them had the opportunity to climb into the back of the truck and were absolutely amazed by its size and equipment.
Tammy and I even joined in on a little basketball fun with one of the young boys at the event ā and itās safe to say he definitely outplayed us both! š
We truly enjoyed spending time with the children and their families from 10:30 AM until 3:00 PM. Events like these remind us how important community involvement and outreach truly are.
A special thank you to Mr. Ollie Howard for organizing such an incredible community event. We were truly honored to be invited and grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a meaningful day.
