The Ellis Railroader Track and Field team will compete in the 2026 KSHSAA All-Classes State Track meet at Wichita State University-University Stadium on Friday, May 29th, and Saturday, May 30th. The Lady Railer team will aim to repeat their 2025 state championship and build on their success in 2026.

The Railroader State Track team departs tomorrow (Thursday, May 28th) for the 2026 KSHSAA All-Classes State Track meet at Wichita State University.

They will leave from Ellis Jr./Sr. High School at 10:45 AM. We will have a Send-Off at 10:40 AM, so come a little early if you want pictures!

What an honor to qualify for this prestigious event! We are proud of our Railroaders and all they have accomplished this season.

STATE TRACK INFORMATION - With the changes to Crossland (formerly Cessna) Stadium at Wichita State, KSHSAA has provided some information that may be helpful to patrons attending the event this weekend.

- Wichita.edu/state is a great resource for many general items.

- WSU has a clear bag policy for fans.

- No outside food or beverages are allowed in the stadium with the exception of one unopened 20 oz. bottle of water per person.

- Metal detectors will be used at all entries.

- Fans are encouraged to bring as few things as possible to expedite ingress.

- Fan lawn chairs will be permitted in the throws area only. Fans may bring lawn chairs if they wish, and they must be carried in. Wagons will not be permitted into the event.

- The parking lot directly west of Koch Arena is ADA and paid parking ($10 cash or card).

- WSU will have several golf carts shuttling fans from the parking lots to the stadium.

- WSU will have more food and vendors for sale than ever before on campus and in the stadium, including more athlete-friendly items.

At State Golf in McPherson today the team placed 8th with a score of 369. Owen Richards shot 88 and qualified to play on day 2. He will tee off at 10:00 am on Wednesday. Great job Railers!

**Attention EJH/EHS Parents and Students**

Final grades have been posted and are now available on PowerSchool! If you cannot access PowerSchool, please email or call the office. Sports physicals, concussion forms, and community service forms were sent home on the last day of school. Please use the forms sent home or the links below, which include the most current information and the required concussion release documentation. We encourage parents to schedule sports physicals as soon as possible, and summer is an ideal time to do so. It's also an excellent opportunity to complete community service hours!

Important Dates:
• Online enrollment opens in early August, and fee payments will be accepted from August 11-13, 2026. More information will be sent in late July.
• The first day of school is Thursday, August 20, 2026, and it will be a full day.
• School pictures will be taken on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
• Homecoming is scheduled for Friday, October 2, 2026.

As a reminder, lunch money will carry over to the 2026-27 school year. For graduates, any remaining lunch money was transferred to a sibling when possible or refunded.
