The 2026 CPL Art Show was held in Chase this spring on April 29th. At the show, a different format of awards were given but the league champions were not awarded at that time. A request from the majority of the league schools was made to have a second online version of the show so league champions and medals could be awarded. Since that time the show was judged for all awards in a digital format and here are the results. Ellinwood won 22 awards with 7 category gold medals, two best of shows and both student choice awards. The CPL Art show was hosted today in Chase for HS Art Students. Ellinwood had 14 kids attend workshops and learn from various presenters like in years past. What was different this year was the way awards were given to the students. Traditionally there are multiple categories with 5 awards given in each category. This year only 15 awards out of a possible 300 were given which minimized the amount of kids who could be celebrated to less than 5% of the entire body of work. So, while there were no league champions awards in their respective categories Ellinwood was well represented in earning three of the top five awards include the prestigious Best of Show and Students Choice Award.

Shyria Quintana earned an honorable mention for her ceramic vase titled “Aspen.”

Mette Maxwell won the overall 3rd Place award in the show with her ceramic mosaic titled “Northern Strike.”

For the Second year in a row Reece Stickney has earned the Top prize of Best in Show and the popular Students Choice awards with her colored pencil drawing titled “Eye of the Wild.”

Congratulations to our 4 awards winners and all of our art students on representing EHS with such pride!
