Mrs. Herman’s 5th graders just wrapped up a book study of “Frindle” by Andrew Clements.

In “Frindle,” Nick Allen decides to invent a new word for “pen”: frindle. What starts as a simple idea quickly spreads throughout his school and community, teaching Nick (and us!) about the power of words, creativity, and standing up for your ideas.

To celebrate finishing the book, 5th graders got their own “frindles” and took a class picture with them!
