Congratulations to Elkton-Lake Benton senior Lane Schindler on his fantastic run all the way to the Class B Boys State Golf Meet this spring! In a field of over 140 players, Lane earned 52nd place at the 2-day final event. Way to go, Lane!

The girls golf team wrapped up a historic State Meet in Brookings today! The first-ever Elkton-Lake Benton girls’ team to qualify for State finished the 2-day tournament strong, earning 11th place. They were one of only 15 schools in Class B - which consists of 96 teams - to earn a spot in the final event, after a runner-up finish in Region 2.

On the individual side, 11th grader Evie Foss had an excellent two days, finishing 32nd. Fellow Junior Malyha Slegers charted two very impressive rounds, earning 39th place. Freshman Quinn Slegers and 8th-grader Norah Hansen, both competing in their first State Meet, finished with strong second rounds.

Congratulations to the team and Coach Suedbeck on a great 2026 season!
