Today on World Down Syndrome Day, we want to recognize someone who means a lot to our department and our community — Justin Tate.

Justin is not only a proud member of the Elkins Fire Department, but he is also an incredible athlete who represents our community through Special Olympics. His determination, positive attitude, and heart for serving others remind us what being part of a community is all about.

We are proud to stand alongside Justin as a firefighter, teammate, and friend. Today we celebrate him and all individuals with Down syndrome who continue to inspire us every day.

The Elkins Fire Department would like to extend a huge thank you to our community for making our annual Pancake Breakfast such a great success!

We truly appreciate everyone who came out to eat, visit, and support our department. Your generosity helps us continue serving our community and supporting the events and programs that make Elkins such a great place to live.
