Fifth-grader Jaremiah Morris is a Reading Champion!

"Jaremiah is an avid reader!" says Maria Garcilazo, his teacher at Mary Beck Elementary. "He literally has four to five physical chapter books sitting on his desk. Jaremiah will read one of those books during our scheduled independent reading time at school but then he will read at home." One week recently, he read almost five and a half hours on his own outside of school.

Nominations are open - teachers and librarians, find all the details at MyEPL.org/champions. Students earn the recognition, and their classrooms receive $250 for books, thanks to the continuing support of the Friends of the Elkhart Public Library, Inc.
