Meet Kelsey Bergan, CCDG’s New Director!
We’re excited to welcome Kelsey Bergan as the new Director of the Clayton County Development Group!
If you’re from Clayton County, Kelsey’s name might already sound familiar. She was born and raised in Elkader, grew up on a farm with four siblings, and graduated from Central High School in 2010.
After high school, Kelsey spent some time in Denver, Colorado, where she built an 11-year career in sales. In 2023, she and her husband made the move back home to be closer to family, and now she’s bringing her experience in sales, marketing, and design back to Clayton County.
She’s excited to help promote the county, support local businesses, grow tourism, and be part of the work happening in our communities.
“I really wanted to feel like part of the community again,” Kelsey said. “I really identified with the mission of CCDG, and the timing felt right to make a change.”
One of the things she’s looking forward to most? Meeting people, hearing their ideas, and maybe putting a few of her own crazy ideas into action.
With a degree in marketing and design, Kelsey is excited to get back to using her creative side and learning more about the businesses, organizations, communities, and projects that make Clayton County such a great place to live.
When asked what she thinks makes a community successful, her answer was simple: collaboration. “We all want the same thing – for our towns, and county as a whole, to be successful.”
