Description:
Join California State Park Interpreter, Anica Williams, for a guided walk along the bluffs overlooking Greenwood State Beach. Binoculars provided to watch for the incredible Eastern Pacific Gray Whale. Discover more about our State Marine Mammal and their inspirational survival story!
All ages welcome. Program will be canceled for rain, severe weather, or park closure.

Know Before You Go:
There are no restrooms at the Visitor Center, the nearest ones are at the Day Use Area, across from the Elk Store.
The trail includes uneven surfaces and is not currently ADA accessible.
Sturdy walking shoes and layered clothing are recommended.
Dogs are allowed on the trail on a 6-foot leash, but are not allowed inside the Visitor Center.

Today is the Holiday Street Fair in Elk. The Greenwood Visitors Center Museum will be open until 8pm. We have lots of great Christmas gift ideas for sale. Stop in this evening for free hot apple cider and cookies.

This event is a fundraiser for Mendocino Area Parks Association which supports Greenwood State Beach Visitors Center and Museum.

The Greenwood State Beach Visitor Center Museum will be open from 11am to 4pm this Saturday during the Great Day In Elk. We'll have some chairs set up outside if you are looking for a comfy place to sit down and watch the parade at noon.

Be sure to stop in and check out all the local history displays and buy a t-shirt, hoodie or hat. Your purchase at the museum supports Mendocino Area Parks Association in their mission to support our local state parks.

If you can brave the weather come on out for the Holiday Street Fair this evening in Elk.

Along with most of the businesses in town the Visitor Center Museum is open until 8:00pm today.

We have lots of gift ideas for your Christmas shopping including the new Greenwood State Beach hoodies.

We also have FREE lemonade, FREE Hot Apple Cider and FREE cookies all day today.

The Greenwood State Beach Visitor Center Museum will not be open today. A road closure is preventing our volunteer docent from getting to Elk. Hopefully we will open as scheduled tomorrow (Saturday) at 11:00.
