Don’t forget, Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. at the Elk Ridge City Office . . .

To honor and remember the victims of 9-11-2001, Elk Ridge City and the Utah County Sheriff’s Office invite residents to attend a special ceremony at the Elk Ridge City Office this Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021.

The Utah County Sheriff’s Office and the Elk Ridge Fire Department will turn on their emergency lights and sirens at the time each of the four terrorist attacks occurred on the morning of 9-11-2001 (Mountain Standard Time) as a tribute to the lives lost.

After the first siren, the American Flag at the City Office will be lowered to half-mast.

After the last siren, Utah County Dispatch will announce a “last call” in honor of all victims of the 9-11 terrorist attacks.
Proceeding that call, the flag will be returned to full-mast.

Staging of the flag will take place between 8:00 - 8:30 a.m. Please feel welcome to join this tribute in person at the City Office, or from your home.

This will allow residents to quickly evacuate if necessary and emergency personnel to enter if needed.

***Flash Flood Warning for... The Loafer and Santaquin Canyon portions of the Bald Mountain Burn Scar in... South Central Utah County in northern Utah... * Until 530 PM MDT. * At 227 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the Loafer and Santaquin Canyon portions of the Bald Mountain Burn Scar. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow moving through the Bald Mountain Burn Scar. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.

The heavy smoke we are experiencing is NOT from a local fire. The cold front and north winds are blowing smoke into our valley from out of state.

The Elk Ridge City Celebrarion is TODAY, Friday, June 11th, starting at 6:30 pm! Come to Shuler Park for dinner, carnival games, a movie, and much more!
All money raised will go to the Elk Ridge Volunteer Fire Dept. for equipment and training!

Did you know that Elk Ridge City has doubled in size in the past 5 years? With that growth comes a greater need for emergency services. That also means an additional need for essential, life saving equipment and training for our first responders.

All proceeds from this year’s City Celebration will go directly to support the Elk Ridge City Volunteer Fire Department.

Come enjoy a fun filled evening on June 11, 6:30 p.m. and support our incredible fire department in their efforts to raise funding that will help them help citizens!

Then step right up and come run a game booth at the city celebration! Volunteers are needed to help run booths that will raise money for our city’s volunteer fire department!

2 shifts are needed:
- 6:55 pm to 8:30 pm
- 8:30 pm to 10:00 pm

Your shift will only require your ability to collect tickets, help kids with the game, and hand out prizes! Super fun and easy!
