Cosumnes Firefighters Association The Cosumnes Firefighters Association are members of the Cosumnes Fire Family and are committed to doing positive charitable work in Elk Grove and Galt.

The Cosumnes Firefighters Association was formed with the merger of the Elk Grove Firemen Association and the Galt Firefighters Association. The Cosumnes Firefighters Association is comprised of current, retired, and honorary members of the Cosumnes Fire Family. The Cosumnes Firefighters Association supports current events for its members and for the communities of Elk Grove and Galt, while preser

ving the history and traditions of the fire department. In our first full year as an association, the Cosumnes Firefighters Association was voted Non Profit Organization of 2011 by the Elk Grove Citizen. Our Tax Exempt Status is a 501.C.4 and EIN # 94-2197931

This three-year-old Australian Cattle Dog is a certified live-find search-and-rescue canine with the Cosumnes Fire Department and FEMA’s Sacramento Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 7.

Once a shelter dog in need of a second chance, Ruffles is now always ready to put her nose to work when disaster strikes. 🐕🔥

Last week, we celebrated the retirements of two outstanding members of our department.

Battalion Chief Haas retires after an incredible 29 years of dedicated service to CFD, and Engineer Connelly retires after 25 years of unwavering commitment.

Their leadership, professionalism, and dedication have left a lasting impact on our department and the community we serve. They will be greatly missed, but their legacy will continue to inspire those who follow.
