For the first time ever, the Elk Grove Animal Shelter is hosting a 2-day Vaccine & Microchip Clinic to help keep pets safe during the 4th of July holiday!

Fireworks can cause pets to panic and run—make sure yours can always find their way home.

✔ Free Rabies, DHPP & FVRCP vaccines
✔ Free microchips
✔ Walk-up style for cats & dogs

Animal Care Assistant

Help provide exceptional care for the animals in our shelter by:

• Feeding, exercising, and socializing animals
• Supporting animal health and well-being
• Monitoring and documenting animal behavior and health
• Assisting the public with lost pets, adoptions, and responsible pet ownership education

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

Play a vital role in our veterinary team by:

• Assisting the veterinarian with medical procedures and surgical preparation
• Monitoring patient vitals and supporting animal recovery
• Maintaining accurate medical records
• Helping ensure the highest standard of animal care

Seeing so many pets matched with loving families made this event truly special. We hope everyone enjoys a wonderful evening with their newest family member and creates many happy memories together.

Just a kitten reminder: We have tiny divas in need of foster homes!

We’re accepting walk-in kitten fosters tomorrow, Friday, June 5, from 12–4 PM. No appointment needed. We’ll provide everything you need—just show up and get matched with a tiny tiger. 🐱

Today, 19 kittens headed to new foster homes. Because of your support, we cleared an entire kitten room and made space for new kittens who needed our help.

The need never stops, but neither does this amazing community. If you’ve been thinking about fostering, now is the perfect time.

We’ll provide the supplies—you provide the love. 🧡💙
