Trick or Treat in Elizabethville and Washington Township has been moved to Saturday November 1st from 6pm to 8pm due to the weather forecast for Thursday.

ATTENTION Elizabethville Borough & Township residents, due to the projected forecast of rain for the evening of October 30th, Trick or Treat will be RESCHEDULED to Saturday, November 1st from 6 - 8 pm.

Township Supervisors and Borough Council made the decision to push the event to Saturday over Friday night due to the increased traffic in the borough for the home UDA football game. It is their hope to keep children as safe as possible for this annual event.

The Reliance Hose Company is proud to announce that Firefighter Chase Crosby has graduated from the Central Shenandoah Regional Fire Rescue Academy, Class 12 in Harrisonburg Virginia.

During his training, Firefighter Crosby distinguished himself by earning the Leadership Award in recognition of his outstanding leadership throughout the academy and was selected by his peers to represent the class as the graduation speaker. He has been assigned to B Shift, Tower 1.

A highlight of the graduation ceremony was when Firefighter Crosby was formally pinned by his father, Deputy Chief Crosby, making the occasion especially meaningful for both their family and the department.

The officers and members of the Reliance Hose Company commend Firefighter Crosby on his accomplishments and extend their best wishes for a safe, successful, and rewarding career in the fire service.

The Elizabethville Fire Company is offering T-shirts for sale. The available sizes range from Youth Small to Adult 6XL. The base price for a T-shirt is $20. Sizes 2XL through 6XL have an additional cost that corresponds with the size 2XL, which is $2. 3XL = $3 etc. To place an order for a shirt, kindly contact the fire company via their page, by calling the firehouse at 717-362-8121 and leave a message if no one answers, or by reaching out to any member. Payment is due at the time of order. All orders are due by August 31, 2025. Estimated delivery of shirts will be 3 weeks after orders are due. We will schedule a pickup time at that point.

🚨 Training Exercise Notice – August 6, 2025 🚨

The Upper Dauphin Area School District, in coordination with the Pennsylvania State Police, Reliance Hose Company, and many other local emergency services, will conduct a training exercise on Tuesday August 6, 2025 from 8am to 2pm at Upper Dauphin Middle School in Loyalton.

During this time, you will see multiple fire, EMS, and police units in the area. Access to school and the immediate area surrounding the school may be limited. Traffic restrictions may be in place and will be controlled by fire police.

🔔 Please note: This is ONLY A DRILL. We kindly ask that you avoid the area while the exercise is underway.

Statewide issue with 911 calls. If you can’t get through on 911 call 717-558-6900 for Dauphin County! Only call if you have an emergency. DO NOT do test calls to 911 or the non-emergency lines!! This blocks from real emergencies. Thank you

Chicken is ready stop in and grab a good meal and support your local volunteers.

Going to be out shopping at all the yard sales in Elizabethville on June 7th?

Stop by the Elizabethville fire house and pick up a good meal. We will be having a chicken BBQ from 11am to 1pm or sold out. Meal includes a 1/2 chicken, baked potato, and applesauce. $14 a platter. No tickets needed 1st come 1st serve this year.

Tanker 52, along with Dauphin County Engine 21 (Elizabethville), have been transferred to Dauphin County Company 29 (Halifax) to standby while their members honor and pay final respects to Chief David Warfel.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Carsonville Fire Department, the Halifax Fire Department, and the Warfel family during this difficult time. Chief Warfel’s dedication and service will never be forgotten.
