A couple rounds of showers and storms will be possible as a front moves through the area Wednesday night into Thursday. Some training of storms is possible, which could put down 3+ inches of rain. While dry conditions will limit the overall flooding threat, a few instances of flash flooding cannot be ruled out Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

Widespread showers and storms ahead of a slow moving cold front will be around late Wednesday night into Friday. The best chance for rainfall amounts over 1" will be along and north of I-64. A few strong storms with gusty winds will also be possible later Wednesday night.

With Election season coming up on us fast, the Hardin County Clerk’s Office wants to make sure you are fully prepared for the upcoming General Election. Save these key deadlines to ensure your plan to vote is set.
- Sept. 19: Online portal opens to request an absentee ballot.
- Oct. 5: Last day to register to vote in the General Election.
- Oct. 20 (11:59 P.M.): Online portal to request absentee ballots closes.
- Oct. 21–23 & 26–28: In-person, excused absentee voting.
- Oct. 29–31: No-excuse, in-person early voting.
- Nov. 3 (6 A.M. – 6 P.M. EST): ELECTION DAY! (Note: All absentee ballots must be received by 6 P.M. EST)

Due to Labor Day, all trash routes in unincorporated Hardin County will be run on a one-day delay. Routes will run Tuesday - Saturday.

The Pearl Hollow landfill will be closed this coming Monday September 7th for the Labor Day holiday.

We will resume operations Tuesday, September 8th with regular hours of operations.

Labor Day Week Schedule:

Monday September 7th Closed
Tuesday - Friday 6am – 5pm
Saturday 7am – 2pm (Free Dump Day)
