Kentucky Early Intervention System (KEIS)—formerly known as First Steps—provides services for children from birth to age three who have a developmental delay or a medical condition known to cause one.

KEIS services include screenings, eligibility determinations, and coordination of services for families. Services are delivered in the child's natural environment—at home, in daycare, or in the community. No family is denied services due to lack of insurance or inability to pay. THC products can look like everyday snacks and candy, but even small amounts can be dangerous for children.

Safe storage matters. Keep all THC products:
• Up high and out of sight
• In locked containers or cabinets
• In original packaging with labels intact
• Separate from regular food and snacks

Symptoms of THC exposure in children can include extreme drowsiness, vomiting, confusion, slowed breathing, and loss of coordination. If a child may have consumed a THC product, contact Poison Control immediately at 1-800-222-1222. Seek emergency medical care for severe symptoms.

Simple storage habits can help prevent serious accidents and protect children from harm.

We provide immunizations for children and adults across our district. Whether you're behind on routine vaccines or preparing for a new school year or travel, we can help review your records and schedule what's needed.

June is National Camping Month and whether you're hiking, camping, or just spending time in the yard, tick awareness matters this time of year. 🏕️🌿

Ticks in Kentucky can carry Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, and other illnesses. Before heading outdoors, apply EPA-registered insect repellent, treat clothing and gear, avoid ticks when possible, and do a full-body check when you return indoors. Remove any attached ticks promptly with fine-tipped tweezers.

If you develop a rash or fever after a tick bite, contact your healthcare provider.
