United Way of Central Kentucky is proud to receive a 2026 PepsiCo Foundation Community Impact Award, including a $5,000 grant to support improvements to our Community Garden in Elizabethtown!

The garden connects our neighbors with fresh, locally grown produce, hands-on learning and volunteer opportunities, helping individuals and families eat healthier, save money and build valuable gardening skills.

Thanks to the PepsiCo Foundation and Nick Leger, PepsiCo Area Delivery Manager and UWCK Board Member, for recognizing the impact of this work.

This support will help us expand access to fresh produce across our five-county service region while strengthening the garden as a place for education, volunteerism and healthy living.

We’re grateful for partners who help us grow stronger communities.

We were proud to host the first of three Grant Training Sessions yesterday at our office!

Every day, local nonprofits are working to meet basic needs, improve health, strengthen financial stability and create educational opportunities for individuals and families across our region.

If your organization is doing this work in Hardin, LaRue, Meade, Breckinridge or Grayson counties, you may be eligible to apply for a United Way of Central Kentucky grant.

We’re hosting Grant Training Sessions throughout September to help eligible nonprofits prepare for the grant application process. Applicants must attend one of the sessions to be eligible to apply for funding.

Our office is located at 604 North Main Street in Elizabethtown.

Remaining sessions:

• Sept. 16 | 2–3:30 p.m. EST | In person
• Sept. 18 | Noon–1:30 p.m. EST | Virtual

Contact Andrea Hill at [email protected] to be added to the training list.

Together, we can invest in the organizations working every day to build stronger communities across Central Kentucky.

We had an incredible time celebrating 25 years of impact as we kicked off our annual campaign today at the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce’s membership luncheon!

Thank you to the Chamber, everyone who joined us—including the local organizations who participated in the Volunteer Expo—and everyone who helped make this kickoff celebration a success.

As we celebrate 25 years of making a difference in our community, we’re energized to bring people together and build on that impact for the next 25 years.
