Safe Kids Bladen had a wonderful time participating in the Summer Reading Kickoff Dye-No Dash this past weekend! ☀️💦📚

We enjoyed connecting with families, joining in the colorful fun, and sharing important information about water safety and pool safety as we head into the summer months. Events like these are a great opportunity to promote safe, healthy, and active summers for children throughout our community.

Thank you to Bladen County Public Library for hosting such a fun event and to everyone who stopped by our table to learn more about keeping kids safe around water. We loved being part of the celebration and look forward to seeing everyone at future community events!

Join the Bladen County Division on Aging for the Shred-A-Thon Scam Jam on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM.

Bring old papers and tax documents to be securely shredded, safely dispose of unused or expired medications, and hear valuable scam prevention information from local experts.

💚Twenty-eight staff members from the Bladen County Health Department and Department of Social Services recently completed Adult Mental Health First Aid (AMHFA) training. Throughout the day, participants learned how to recognize, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges while demonstrating outstanding engagement and commitment to supporting the well-being of our community.

Mental Health First Aid equips individuals with the skills and confidence to provide initial support and connect others to appropriate resources, helping to build a stronger and more compassionate community.💚
