It’s officially summer wedding season! If you are getting married this summer, make sure you have everything you need for your marriage license before you head to the ceremony.
Here is your quick checklist to ensure a smooth trip to the Hardin County Clerk’s Office:
1. Both Parties Must Be Present: You and your fiancé must apply together in person.
2. Valid ID: Bring a government-issued photo ID (like a driver’s license or passport).
3. Information Needed: You will need the spelling of your parents' full names (including mother's maiden name), and your places of birth.
4. Fee: $60.
5. Timeline: A Kentucky marriage license is valid for 30 days from the day it is issued, and the ceremony must take place in the state of Kentucky.
Where to go: Hardin County Government Building, 150 N. Provident Way in Elizabethtown
When: 8 AM to 4:30 PM Monday – Friday (We recommend arriving by 4 PM to allow time for processing).
