OUR VISION: Create a stable, thriving community! Our qualified team works with our clients to help them towards the goal of stability and self-sufficiency.

ECHOS provides an array of services that prevent and alleviate poverty and empower stability in our neighbors throughout the rural parts of the Northwest Region of Lancaster County. At Elizabethtown Community Housing & Outreach Services (ECHOS) we believe in working with our neighbors experiencing housing crises by providing shelter, housing assistance, and access to community resources. Our greatest strength lies in our community collaborations, and we encourage our neighbors to visit our website to see where they can lend a helping hand.

What happens when ONE community member decides to make a difference? Something BIG!

In 2022, Shawn Bixler had a simple idea: bring together his family, friends, coworkers, and church community to support neighbors in need through ECHOS.

That idea became the Shawn Bixler Big Give, an annual gathering at Chiques Park in Mount Joy that has grown into an incredible tradition of community generosity!

Year after year, Shawn has rallied those around him to collect essential supplies and financial donations to support ECHOS and the neighbors we serve.

And the best part? It all started with ONE person who decided to take action.

Shawn didn't wait for someone else to organize something. He took an idea, brought people together, and created something that continues to make a difference four years later.

To Shawn and everyone who has supported the Big Give over the years, THANK YOU! 💙

✨ Imagine what our community can accomplish when each of us finds our own way to make a difference.
