Everyone knows where water is sourced for bottled water because it has a label; since we can't put a label on everyone's faucets, we wanted to show our beautiful source water locations.

Our White Mills Treatment Plant, located in White Mills, sources its water from the confluence of the Nolin River and White Mills Spring. The treatment plant is able to produce up to 8.1 million gallons of water per day, all of which is pulled through the intake shown in the first photo.

Our City Springs Treatment Plant, located in Elizabethtown, sources water from a combination of the Old City Spring (shown in the second photo), Gaither Spring, and four wells. City Springs Treatment Plant is able to produce up to 3.3 million gallons of water per day.

We may be a little biased but we think our water sources are absolutely breathtaking, especially in spring.

A couple of weeks ago, one of our Water Quality Technicians, Johnathan Cruse, participated in the vehicle day at Helmwood Heights and Morningside Elementary Schools. Johnathan was excited to receive a letter from one of the classes he spoke to, thanking him for teaching them all about water quality.

We are thrilled to have employees who love participating in various events throughout the community. HCWD2 loves educating others about all things water!
