🌊 Little Kanawha River Forecast Update – Elizabeth, WV 🌊

The latest forecast for the Little Kanawha River at Elizabeth shows the river is expected to crest around 25.5 feet Thursday evening (May 28 around 8 PM EDT).

📍 Current flood thresholds:
Action Stage: 34 ft
Minor Flooding: 36 ft
Moderate Flooding: 38 ft
Major Flooding: 44 ft

At this time, the forecast crest remains well below flood stage, but river levels will still rise significantly over the next 24 hours before slowly falling back down.

🔹 Forecast Crest: 25.5 ft 🔹 Current Record Crest: 40 ft 🔹 No flooding is currently forecast.

Residents near the river should still continue monitoring conditions, especially if additional heavy rainfall develops.
