Today, we celebrated culture, community, and creativity with a wonderful multicultural fashion show and sing-along. Our students proudly walked the red carpet dressed in beautiful traditional outfits, representing cultures from around the world.

It was a joyful experience filled with music, laughter, and learning as we embraced diversity and celebrated what makes each of us unique. We are so proud of our students for their confidence and enthusiasm, and grateful to our families for helping make this event so special.

Today, Groundwork Elizabeth visited Donald Stewart School No. 51 to give our students a hands-on experience in planting, environmental awareness, and community beautification. The children were excited to get their hands in the soil, working together to dig, plant, and learn the importance of caring for the earth around them. It was a day filled with teamwork, smiles, and meaningful lessons outside the classroom.

We were honored to welcome Commissioner Neron, who spoke to the students about the importance of planting trees and greenery to help create a cleaner, healthier, and more beautiful community. The children listened with excitement as they learned how plants improve air quality, support nature, and make neighborhoods stronger and greener for future generations.

The event gave students the opportunity to connect learning with action. From digging in the soil to carefully planting each flower and plant, the children learned responsibility, patience, and pride in helping their community grow. Experiences like these inspire young minds to appreciate nature and understand that even small actions can make a big difference.
