❗️Reading meters monthly, and spreading small-town joy by helping with events and hanging holiday lights! 🎄✨

Dealing with the public is a major part of our daily teamwork. You must be able to handle resident criticism and feedback professionally, positively, and without a bad attitude—no exceptions!

Top priority goes to individuals who know their way around machinery. We need a team member who can safely operate equipment and has the mechanical knowledge to handle routine tool and vehicle upkeep.

MUST-HAVE

✅ A valid driver’s license.
✅The ability to pass random drug screenings.

‼️‼️‼️VILLAGE NOTICE‼️‼️‼️

LA 10 DETOUR & SAFETY CONCERNS!

Residence of Elizabeth,

As the state begins the $1.65 million replacement of the Mill Creek Bridge this Monday, August 3, 2026, our local streets will temporarily serve as a primary detour route LA DOTD.

A high volume of heavy highway traffic and unfamiliar vehicles will redirect onto our local roads. I know many residents are concerned, as am I, about increased heavy traffic, noise, and unfamiliar vehicles or people entering our neighborhood.

PLEASE know your safety, your family's security, and your peace of mind are my absolute top priorities as your Mayor.

❗️Actions Being Taken❗️Increase Patrol:
Local law enforcement is fully aware of the detour route. Speeders and reckless drivers will be ticketed immediately. The safety of our children, who have become accustomed to flowing freely through our streets, will be our top priority with NO exceptions.

❗️Monitoring Restrictions ❗️
Law enforcement will ensure commercial trucks stick strictly to state-designated routes LA DOTD and stay off small residential side streets.

Here is how YOU Can Help ⬇️

☑️ Avoid Main Street: I am strongly urging parents to instruct their children to completely avoid riding bicycles, golf carts, scooters, side-by-sides, or other recreational transportation across Main Street.

☑️Extreme Caution Mandatory: If crossing Main Street is absolutely necessary, it must be done with extreme caution. Stop fully, look both ways multiple times, and yield to all oncoming traffic. Highway drivers do not know our village or where our children play.

☑️Lock Up Securely: Please take the extra precaution of locking your vehicles, and home doors at all times.

☑️Light Up: Keep your outdoor porch and security lights turned on through the night to deter uninvited visitors.

MOST IMPORTANTLY REPORT IMMEDIATELY! If you see something, say something! This is your village, these are your streets, and these are our kids. If a vehicle is speeding, looks out of place or is acting suspiciously, do not hesitate. Call the Allen Parish Sheriff's Office right away.

We might be a small community, but I know that we will stay alert, vigilant, and concerned about one another. We will get through these next seven months by staying alert, staying connected, and keeping our village safe.
