The Elizabeth Police Explorers Post 18 would like to extend our warm thanks and sincere appreciation to Manny (Marketing Mngr) from the Chic-Fil-A of Union NJ. The Elizabeth Police Explorers Post 18 had the great opportunity and exposure to gun safety and target practice. Under the supervision of RTSP (Union N.J.) Range Officers, they learned how to properly load and fire various weapons including an AK-47. Protecting our children of the future involves teaching them. Knowledge = Power.

Today, the Elizabeth Post 18 visited the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. The explorers learned in depth of what transpired on that day of the attacks which changed not only the USA, but the entire worlds perspective on cowardly acts of violence and terrorism. This event brought us all together as Americans but most importantly as human beings. Each of the Explorers were not alive to live through this horrific event, but with first hand knowledge of each of their advisor and today’s visit to the museum, I hope they will be able to understand and appreciate the America as it stands today. We stand united in our continuous effort to protect life and liberty, despite different political views. May God bless America!
