On Monday, August 3rd, the Pasquotank County Board of Commissioners passed the following resolution encouraging business to allow volunteer fire fighters to respond to emergency calls during working hours.

It's that time of year again!! Our annual BBQ Chicken fundraiser is August 26th! The plate includes half a BBQ chicken, green beans, potatoes, and hush puppies. Plates are $8 a piece, get in touch with any NVFD member to get yours. We thank each and every one of you for your support over the years!

Everyone please stay where you are. Roads in Newland are completely flooded, some with over 1.5 FEET of water. Also trees down in multiple locations throughout our community. Please STAY HOME!!!

First off we want to say THANK YOU!!! To all the people who came out and supported us for our fundraiser. It really shows the how close our community is and it means alot to us. Second we would like to thank all the non-member volunteers that made everything for the bake sale and came out to give us a helping hand, because we definitely couldn't do it without them. And lastly we would like to apologize for the many delays that we experienced throughout the afternoon. We are short staffed as it is on fire calls so when it comes to a big events like this we are extremely short handed. So because of that, among some other problems alot of yall heard "Give us 15 minutes" and we are terribly sorry. We have figured out the issues involved and they will be fixed next year. We hope to see all of you there next year.. Thanks again for all of your support and if any of yall are wanting to join we have a meeting the first Thursday of every month at the station at 8 pm.

Alright everyone today's the day if you haven't purchased your tickets for our BBQ Fundraiser today it's not to late ! Stop by the station or contact any PNVFD member to get yours. They are $8.00 a plate. Thank you for all of your support. And remember to bring a couple extra dollars for some fresh homemade desserts
