The 2nd Annual Streamwood Network Coed Basketball Tournament was a wonderful celebration of community, connection, and student pride! Our students had the opportunity to build relationships with peers from across the network, connect with the Streamwood High School, community and envision their future as Sabres. Families also enjoyed time together, strengthening the partnerships that make our schools and community so special. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a meaningful experience for our students and families.

Forty-five members of the graduated not only with a high school diploma, but also an associate’s degree through the full-time program with Elgin Community College. An additional 17 graduates completed at least a year’s worth of college credits before finishing high school.

The students were recognized during a special event at ECC attended by families, school principals, and U-46 and ECC administrators.

“The Dual Credit program allowed each of us to build an education that was tailored to our own goals, futures, and schedules,” said student speaker Sid Perkins of Bartlett High School. “Because of that, we developed skills like time management, organization, communication, and independence — skills that will benefit us no matter where life takes us.”
