The food the 4-H kiddos prepared was absolutely delicious! Thank you so much for the wonderful lunch and for showing your support for the Eldorado Volunteer Fire Department. We truly appreciate the time, effort, and kindness!

Thank-you to everyone who came out to support our fire department! We loved seeing so many families and kids at the open house, meeting our firefighters, exploring the firehouse, and enjoying the activities.

Your support means so much to us. We’re grateful to be part of such a wonderful community, and we can’t wait to see you again next year!

Fire prevention week
Tip of the day

A huge thank-you to Eldorado Elementary kiddos and Eldorado Elementary PTO for thinking of our firefighters, supporting us with donations, and including us in your Walk to School this morning. It meant so much to our department to be part of such a special event.

Many of our firefighters wanted to be there, but had to head to work. These amazing volunteers balance their jobs with answering calls and helping protect our community whenever they can. We’re so grateful for their dedication—and for the support Eldorado and our surrounding communities continue to show the Eldorado Volunteer Fire Department.

Don’t forget! Join us for the Eldorado Volunteer Fire Department Open House this Saturday, October 10, starting at 5:00 p.m. Come check out the firehouse, meet our firefighters, enjoy a hot dog and grab a snow cone. We can’t wait to see you there!

Happy Day 1 of Fire Prevention Week, October 4–10!

This year’s theme is “Charge into Fire Safety: Safe Charging Is a Superpower!” Our phones, laptops, e-bikes, and power tools rely on rechargeable batteries, so safe charging habits matter.

Today’s safety tip: Use the charger that came with your device or one approved by the manufacturer. Charge devices on a hard, flat surface—never on a bed, couch, or under a pillow.

Stay tuned all week for more simple ways to help keep your home and family safe.

We’ll wrap up Fire Prevention Week with our free community open house this Saturday evening. Come meet your firefighters, check out a fire truck, meet Sparky the Fire Dog, and enjoy snow cones and hot dogs. We hope to see you there!

This October, the Eldorado Volunteer Fire Department stands with everyone affected by breast cancer. We honor the loved ones we’ve lost, celebrate every survivor, and stand beside those still fighting.

To every fighter and family walking this journey: you are not alone. Our community is here for you, and EVFD has your back. Together, we hold onto hope for a cure.
