This page has been strictly set up to inform all EACMA customers in the service area of Elderton Borough and parts of Plumcreek Township, of any important announcements and updates. As always, notices will be placed in the following public locations: Elderton Laundromat, Elderton Post Office, Elderton State Bank, Elderton Country Market, Elderton V.F.D., the dental office of Wm. Fetchko, Thee Log

Cabin Family Restaurant, and Don Rupert’s Barber Shop. Notices will also be published in the Kittanning Leader Times and the Indiana Gazette. You may also view our website www.goh20.net/eacma to access notifications, updates, annual CCR, or an application for service. Due to the weather there have been some icy spots covered by snow where some customers meters are located. Our operators have fallen a few times trying to get them read and their safety is a priority. Some customers meters have been read and the rest have been estimated this month. We appreciate your understanding. If you have any questions or concerns once you recieve your bill please call the office at 724-354-2540. Thank you!

We are looking for a water leak on the school side of the water system. If you see anything unusual or if you see anyone hooking up to a fire hydrant for any reason other than a fire call please call Bill immediately at 412-549-0683. Thank you!

Please be advised that random waterline flushing will be conducted throughout our service area during the month of October. Some discoloration of the water is normal during the flushing process. We appreciate your cooperation and we will make every attempt to keep customer inconvenience to a minimum. Thank you!

Attention customers!

Due to the lack of rainfall we have experienced over the last few months, we are asking all our customers to please conserve water at this time. It takes at least 30 to 40 days for rainwater to reach the water table. We kindly ask if you know of someone who does not have Facebook please reach out to them with this important message. Attentions customers. We are currently experiencing some issues at the water plant. You may see some iron come through your water. Please watch washing any white clothes at this time. The guys will be out flushing lines trying to get this out. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Attention customers….may notice some discoloration in your water. Work is being done down at the water plant and some iron has slipped through the filters. This should be cleared up within the next 30 minutes. Thank you!

We have a bad valve at the water plant that we will be replacing this morning. There might possibly be some iron that may slip through the line in the process of changing this. Please watch the color of your water if you are deciding to do any washing of clothes. Thank you!

The water tank project at the school is completed and is currently being filled up. We are hoping it will be back in service next week after all tests and inspections are completed.

As many of you are aware the water tower at the school is currently being painted. If everything goes well and the weather cooperates it should be completed by next week.

We are aware that dark green has been known as one of “Elderton’s colors” and how it represented the town. However, the water tower is not going to be painted dark green and we have had a few complaints over it and how we are “taking away from the town by painting it a different color”.

The reason the tank is not getting painted a dark color is because dark colors will draw heat from the sun and in turn COULD cause a bacteria problem in the tank, which would require more chlorine to be added to it. Our engineers highly recommended us to stay away from all dark colors when we were planning for this project.

Our number one priority is your safety and that is what is on the inside of that tank not the outside. And that is the quality of water we are providing for you and your families. It should be yours as well!
