John Stewart Elementary Learn something new everyday! Welcome to John Stewart Elementary School in Elburn, Illinois.

John Stewart Elementary School is part of the Kaneland Community Unit School District 302 and serves students from Elburn, Maple Park, Virgil, and parts of Sycamore and DeKalb. Over 400 students from Kindergarten through fifth grade make up the John Stewart family.

⭐️ Mrs. Orman has dedicated so much love and care to Kaneland over the years. No matter the role, children were always at the center of her heart and world.

We are incredibly grateful for the support, encouragement, and compassion she has shared with our students, staff, and families. Her impact on our school community will be felt for years to come.

Some stories come full circle in the best way. ❤️
A few years ago, Miss Carlson was a student in Mrs. Gilkey’s art class… and today they stand together as 2nd grade teammates. What a special reminder of the lasting impact teachers have on the lives of their students.

Happy Retirement, Mrs. Gilkey! Thank you for the creativity, kindness, and love you poured into generations of students. You will be greatly missed! 🍎✨
