Happy birthday to Battery B, 1-214th Field Artillery Regiment. The unit was federally recognized June 8, 1948, in Thomson, Ga. as Battery C, 950th Antiaircraft Artillery (90mm). The 214th continues in service today as part of the 648th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade.

Today I started my day in sweat and on legs that work a lot less than before the miles and squats but the view of a sunrise over a corn field in south GA is the way I remember. Mine are with me this morning. I hope that you all remember yours today in some way. Enjoy your Memorial Day Granite Battalion. Be Safe. Remember them. Honor them each day through your life.

Today we had the honor of promoting SSG Williamson to the rank of Sergeant First Class (SFC) surrounded by family, friends, and fellow Soldiers. Joining him for this special occasion were his wife, Kylie, and son, Kohen, whose support has undoubtedly played a huge role throughout his career.

We are incredibly proud of SFC Williamson and all he has accomplished during his time with the 1-214th FA BN. His dedication, professionalism, and leadership as both the Supply NCO and Training NCO have made a lasting impact on the battalion and the Soldiers he has served alongside.

SFC Williamson has consistently demonstrated what it means to lead from the front, and this promotion is a well-earned reflection of his hard work, commitment, and service to the Georgia Army National Guard.

As he transitions back into recruiting for the Georgia Army National Guard, we know he will continue to inspire and mentor the next generation of Soldiers with the same passion and excellence he has always displayed.

Congratulations, SFC Williamson! Your 1-214th family is proud of you, and we look forward to seeing all you accomplish in this next chapter of your career.

This morning, the full-time staff of the 648th MEB / 1-214th Field Artillery Battalion Headquarters Battery honored our fallen soldiers by placing flags on graves at Elmhurst Cemetery in Elberton, Georgia. 🇺🇸

We were proud to serve alongside the Elberton JROTC and VFW Post 5456 in remembering the men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.

Memorial Day is more than a holiday, it is a time to reflect, remember, and honor the sacrifices made for our freedom. Their courage and selfless service will never be forgotten.

Thank you to everyone who came out this morning to help preserve this important tradition and pay tribute to our heroes.

Proud of our FSC!

Happy birthday to the 1214th Forward Support Company which was federally recognized as Battery D, 950th Antiaircraft Artillery Battalion, May 10, 1949. Over the years, the 1214th has served as an artillery, air defense, and maintenance company at home and overseas. The unit currently serves as part of the 1-214th Field Artillery Regiment, 648th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade.

Earlier today the 1-214th full-time staff held their annual Christmas party. Great food, great fellowship, and great Soldiers.
