When Law Enforcement Agencies Train Together, the Community Wins

Collaboration among local law enforcement agencies strengthens not only our officers but also the entire community we serve. The Elberton Police Department is proud to maintain a strong professional partnership with both the Elbert County Board of Education Police and the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office.

This week, the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO) and the Elberton Police Department (EPD) conducted our annual Fall Fi****ms Qualification and Training together. The training included both pistol and rifle qualifications, as well as a variety of dynamic drills conducted in daylight and low-light conditions to enhance officer readiness and response. By the end of the week, over 50 law enforcement officers will have received the training.

Featured in the training footage are Officer Caden Anderson (EPD) and Deputy Chris Wilder (ECSO) performing doorway transition exercises. Pictured are our fi****ms instructors, Maj. Joey David (EPD) and Lt. Chris Bryant (ECSO), who led the training with professionalism and expertise.

This cooperative effort reflects our shared commitment to excellence, preparedness, and the safety of the citizens of Elbert County.
